Guest director Sue Boyum will host auditions for young performers for “Annie Jr” at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, June 14, at the Aloha Theatre.
Those auditioning need only attend one session. All roles are open and include Annie, Miss Hannigan, Rooster, Lily, Daddy Warbucks, Grace, as well as a supporting cast of orphans, servants and tourists.
To audition, you must be 18 or younger and have parent or guardian consent. Consent forms will be available at auditions. Prospective cast members will be expected to share a short piece of dialogue, which they will receive at audition time, learn and perform a short dance in small groups and come prepared to sing either “Maybe” or “It’s the Hard Knock Life” in small groups and alone.
Scripts can be checked out at the APAC office for a $10 deposit, by arrangement with Operations Director Suzanne Murdock.
The production runs July 18-27. A special read-through rehearsal is set for 2 p.m. Sunday, June 15, and regular rehearsals begin Monday, June 16.
